It's phenomenal for just overall recovery of for everything. And it's it's also been shown to lengthen telomeres. They did a study out of Israel. Yeah. They gave people a protocol over 90 days.
What the evidence says 01 / RECORD
A 2020 prospective trial by researchers at Shamir Medical Center and Tel Aviv University in Israel (Hachmo, Hadanny, Efrati et al., published in the journal Aging) gave 35 healthy adults aged 64 and older 60 hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions over roughly 90 days. The study found telomere length in several immune cell types (T helper, T cytotoxic, natural killer, and B cells) increased by more than 20 percent, with B cells showing the largest gain, and senescent T-helper cells decreased significantly following treatment. Gibson's reference to an Israeli study using a roughly 90-day protocol accurately describes this trial's design and its core telomere finding. However, the study was small, with only 35 participants and no control group receiving a sham treatment, and it measured cellular biomarkers rather than broad clinical health outcomes, so Gibson's characterization of hyperbaric oxygen therapy as "phenomenal for just overall recovery of everything" extends well beyond what this narrow, preliminary research actually demonstrated.
