which is why I never sued CNN. CNN lied about me over and over and over again. They said I was taking horse dewormer and they altered the color of my face on television to make me look green.

What the evidence says 01 / RECORD

The two parts of this claim hold up differently. On the drug: ivermectin does have FDA-approved human formulations (tablets and topical treatments for parasites, head lice and rosacea) that are distinct from the more concentrated veterinary product, and Rogan says he took a version prescribed by a doctor, so CNN's repeated 'horse dewormer' shorthand was an oversimplification of what he took. That said, ivermectin is genuinely and commonly used as a livestock dewormer, and health agencies had warned specifically about people ingesting the animal version, so the framing was not wholly fabricated. On the video: the assertion that CNN altered the color of his face to make him look green (or sick) is an unverified theory circulated online, not an established fact, and it was not confirmed by any authoritative source. Overall the claim is a mix of a partly legitimate grievance about labeling and an unsubstantiated allegation of image manipulation, so it rates as mixed.
